Crafting DIY Ring Lights

The mentorship program with MAKE provided iZonehub with an incredible opportunity to enhance our practical skills and knowledge in hardware development. As part of this program, we hosted a workshop where participants learned to create DIY ring lights. This project was an excellent way to foster creativity and technical expertise among our community members.

Components and Tools

For the DIY ring light project, participants used the following components: LED lights, male and female cables, batteries, a board for soldering the LED lights, and glue. These components were essential for constructing a functional and aesthetically pleasing ring light, and they provided participants with a hands-on experience in electronics. The workshop began with an introduction to the components and an overview of the project. Participants were guided through the process of soldering the LED lights onto the board, which required careful attention to detail. After soldering, they connected the LEDs to the batteries using the cables, ensuring that the connections were secure. Finally, the components were glued in place to create a stable and durable ring light.

Practical Skills and Creativity

Throughout the workshop, participants not only learned technical skills such as soldering and circuit assembly but also explored their creativity in designing and customizing their ring lights. The hands-on nature of the project allowed for a deeper understanding of electronics and the satisfaction of creating a functional device from scratch.
